About us
Inspiration. Illumination. Mystery
Etete is a Los Angeles based abstract contemporary artist who works a lot on the east coast. His vibrant paintings and designs explore color complexities and dimensions, inspired by the people and terrains encountered in extensive travels across Africa, Europe, and the United States.
Now he is expanding into apparel design. “Many of my works resemble sculpture, infusing multidimensional textural elements that enhance the abstract.” His life’s journey is one which, like his paintings, figures itself out as it goes along.
Akankan: The akankan is an ancient multipurpose tool that was used across West Africa for hunting, carving, and protection. The more ornate versions resembling the logo were carried by royalty as a display of status during ceremonies.
